Ellie & Ollie
A perfect day
At Clements and Church, we pride ourselves on crafting garments that not only reflect the moment, but elevate it—tailoring pieces that become part of the story. So when England and Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins entrusted us with the honour of dressing him for his wedding to long time partner Ellie, we set out to create something timeless, personal, and unforgettable.
Ollie’s natural elegance and quiet confidence made him a dream to dress. For the wedding day itself, set against the romantic backdrop of an idyllic English setting, the brief was clear: sophistication with modern edge. We worked closely with Ollie to create a bespoke tuxedo that embodied both classic formality and a fresh contemporary silhouette.
The result was a midnight black, one-button peak lapel tuxedo cut from our finest Italian wool—sharp, sculptural, and understated. Every element was considered, from the silk grosgrain detailing on the lapels to the clean line of the trousers, sitting perfectly over a pair of black patent loafers. Beneath the jacket, a crisp white evening shirt with a concealed placket brought refinement, while a hand-tied bowtie completed the look. It was black tie at its most polished—effortlessly refined and tailored to perfection.
What made Ollie’s look truly special, though, was the energy he brought to it. On the day, surrounded by friends and family, with Ellie radiant by his side, the tuxedo moved with him—not just tailored to his frame, but to the occasion, the mood, the man.
But style, of course, doesn’t begin or end with the ceremony.
'Ollie has been a long time client and I really wanted to make his big day as special as it could be from our side of things, I knew the rest of the day would be perfect so didn't want to let him down, we went with a timeless tuxedo for the big day and an informal sand coloured suit for the welcome and beach party so he didn't feel too buttoned up when it came time to party'

The day before the wedding, a relaxed pre-party welcomed guests to the celebrations—and here, we created a second look for Ollie that carried the same sartorial intention in a more laid-back key. Drawing on a Riviera spirit with British precision, we tailored a stone-toned unstructured linen blazer paired with open-neck ivory silk shirt and slim-cut drawstring trousers. Lightweight, versatile, and full of quiet charisma, the look struck the perfect balance between cool and considered. Footwear was minimal, a soft suede loafer grounding the ensemble with ease.
This more casual outfit captured Ollie’s personality beautifully: relaxed, gracious, and full of understated charm. It was a look that allowed him to welcome guests, raise a glass, and soak up the moment, without ever compromising on style.
At Clements and Church, we believe that tailoring is about more than just fit—it’s about feeling. Confidence, joy, poise. Dressing Ollie for one of the most important weekends of his life was an immense privilege. From the razor-sharp lines of his tuxedo to the relaxed flair of his pre-party attire, every stitch told a story. Of love, of style, of a man stepping into a new chapter—dressed not just to impress, but to express.
Congratulations to Ollie and Ellie. It was a pleasure to play a small part in such a beautiful celebration.
