How to fold your suit the right way

Method 1: Perfecting the Fold for Larger Suitcases

For those embarking on longer journeys with ample luggage space, this method ensures your suit arrives crisp and ready to wear.

Preparation: Begin with a dry cleaning cover to shield your jacket from potential stains or dust during transit.

Lay It Out: Place your suit jacket on a flat surface with the sleeves pointing towards the centre and the front facing down. Keep the jacket closed but leave the closure button undone.

Fold in Half: Carefully fold the jacket in half, aligning the collar with the hem. Ensure the sleeves are tucked neatly inside.

Pack It In: Position the folded jacket on top of your other clothing items in the suitcase. Avoid placing heavy objects on top to prevent unnecessary pressure on the fabric.

Method 2: Compact Packing for Weekend Getaways

When space is limited, this method allows you to maximize every inch of your travel bag without compromising on style.

Shoulder Flip: Take your jacket and turn the right shoulder inside out, creating a pocket for the left shoulder to tuck into.

Fold Vertically: With the right shoulder tucked in, fold the left side of the jacket over so that the lapels meet, with the lining exposed.

Horizontal Fold: Make one or two loose horizontal folds, depending on the available space in your bag.

Pack with Care: Place the folded jacket at the top of your bag, ensuring it remains relatively flat. Avoid cramming too many items on top to prevent unnecessary creasing.
