If it is abroad, consider a summer suit made out of lighter fabrics than your average wool suit – breathable cotton or linen are more comfortable in the heat of the day. Perhaps a three piece suit is not the best option here – instead you may consider a mix and match outfit such as cotton chinos with a linen shirt and waistcoat or lightweight summer jacket or a tailored short suit. If the wedding is held in a culturally diverse destination such as Dubai, there may be other restrictions on dress codes, such as shorts worn above the knee. It is best to research the temperature of the location and check the time of the wedding before you plan your outfit – will it be hot and humid at the midday ceremony but cooler in the evening? – If so it may be best to bring a change of outfit.
